This bimonthly charitable donation is close to a number of our staff and was chosen due little Oakley Gough, who was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy when only 8 weeks old.
Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is a motor neuron disease leading to irreversible muscle weakness, affecting around 30 Australian families each year. One in 10,000 live births in Australia are affected by SMA.
Click here to find out more on the amazing work her parents Grant & Kate Gough are doing to raise awareness of SMA and campaigning for routine newborn screening to be standard practice nationwide, while still raising their little family.
You can follow Oakley’s Journey here: Move For Oakley, plus a GoFundMe page has been set up on their behalf if you feel like donating direct to this family.
