John McQueen was born in Casino and raised and educated in Bonalbo and then later attended The Armidale Boys Boarding School. (TAS).
At the early age of 20 John bought his first butcher shop in Lismore and also started a very successful wholesale meat business. It was in Lismore that he married and had three children. Later John moved back to Bonalbo where he bought another butcher shop and was chairman of the Bonalbo sub branch of St Johns Ambulance and a member of the Casino District Committee.
John and family decided on a sea change and moved to Ballina in 1979, and in 1983 he was given the opportunity to start a career in Real Estate. This has proven to be very rewarding and over the 25 years he has been involved in excess of 1000 property sales in the Ballina Shire.
John has been an active member of the Northern Rivers Racing Association for the past 38 years, which has given him the opportunity to indulge in his passion for horses. John has built up a great reputation as a friendly and outgoing person.
